Nothing to Lose

As soon as we see someone we already know what kind of person the other is, and therefore if we could become friends with them. Thus, if someone could become a friend, they will as soon as we try to befriend them, and nothing we do will keep them from becoming friends, but if someone won’t become a friend if we try to befriend them, they never could become a friend however much we would try. Thus it doesn’t matter what we say to them, only that we say something, because if they can understand us, they will no matter what we say, and if they can’t, nothing we do will make them understand us. There is therefore no way we can fail, and the only thing we have to do to find friends is not to try hard, but to try often.
