Koan

Even your silence speaks to me,
Like a koan I'm left to ponder.
You send my ego off to suicide,
As it fights its contradiction.
Your paradox struck squarely,
And split me down the middle.
One half of me must resist,
While the other must surrender.
Suspend my soul upon its edge,
Until it drives me into ecstasy.
If ever our lives be made as one,
Then don't ever let me know.
Do your worst by all means,
And give me all you've got.
Test me until I bend or break:
I'll be enlightened or go mad.
