Knight's Move

Only indifference would kill me,
Ere else would have the chance.
So open the windows of my soul,
That the world may flow inside.
Let life play its games with me,
As to win or lose are both to die.
For either there are no rules at all
Or we all are cheaters in the end.
Let the pieces frolic in my mind:
I'm not there to keep them in line.
They stream right into the traffic,
As if 't were nothing but a dance.
They never brake as they crash,
As if it were their only destination.
Particles must resist each other,
To flow together into waves.
There's no move that's illegal,
Not even to say that there are such.
All that I ever know for sure,
Is the move I'm making now.
