Lilliputians

However small my troubles are,
It humiliates me all the more
That I must tend to such trifles
As they are standing in my way.
Just by lowering my look t’ward them,
They're getting the best of me,
But I cannot move further,
Until I get these cables off of me.
How dare you to challenge me,
Being insignificant as you are?
I will walk over every one of you,
However many of you there may be.
They built a tangled web around me,
Too small to see another way,
Now they are draining my attention
Like a swarm of midges would my blood.
