Genetics and environment aren’t separate from each other, as our genes evolved for the very purpose of adapting to our environment, and adaptability to our environment is the one thing by which nature selected us. Our genes are tools of adaption, and we use whatever of our genes we can best use to adapt to our environment at any particular time.
