Parallel Evolution of Tool-Building Life Forms

To build a civilization, a life form needs to go through a number of steps in its evolution, which would be the same in any ecosystem throughout the universe. It must:
1 chemically:
- form in water to grow,
- form cells to contain itself,
- form strands to range molecules
- and form double strands so cells can split quickly
2 anatomically:
- form a spine to carry tools,
- form limbs to hold them,
- form bony appendages (fingers) to handle them,
- and form uprightness to use them while moving,
3 behaviorally:
- live on land to preserve tools,
- form vocal cords to communicate in all directions,
- live in groups to build larger tools,
- and compete with other groups over resources,
4 geometrically:
- form itself in the golden ratio to keep balance
- form as few of each body parts to prevent injury
- form a flat face to take a punch
- form a dry nose to take a punch
This means that any other tool-building life form in the universe must be almost identical to humans.
