The Twilight That Is Life (CHZ)

Let these new eyes stray wider,
That they may stroke all in this light.
I must see all there is to see,
Ere the day turn me to stone again.
It'll sweep over me till I see no more,
Then again to leave me in its ebb.
Only now between the black and white,
Will I by neither be overwhelmed.
I would outrun the course of the spheres,
For they move but for this fleetingness;
But cease not to turn me over,
Till I know not which way's where.
Any moment it may be over forever;
The sooner the more I hold on to it.
But at least I've seen you once;
Were I to die I will have lived.
My world sways through its zone,
For just one more breath of life.
Between the hope and despair,

Of burning sun and freezing space.
