A Bird With One Wing Cannot Fly

Two pests rode a bird’s back,
To find new lands to settle;
They couldn't see beyond the wings,
Yet quarreled which way to fly.
One says right, the other left,
And soon the two are enemies.
Each would cut off one wing,
That it would fly the other way.
If they had their way with the bird,
It would soon be flying in circles.
Instead it flew where it wanted,
Far away from lizards’ climes.
The one way to shake them off,
Is to fly on straight up.
Evolve your own wings, creatures,
Or stay down in the dirt.
