Development and Population Growth

As a nation becomes developed, its indigenous population growth stops, so that population growth should never be a reason not to invest into developmental aid. A quarter of births in both the US and UK are from foreign-born mothers ^{1 2}, and birth rate in the UK and US is around 1,3 percent ³ while death rate around 0,9 percent ⁴, so if not for immigration, populations in both the US and UK would not be growing at all. This is one more reason why it's important to integrate immigrants from developing countries through education etc.: to reduce population growth, and because the unintegrated will otherwise form a majority.
