Emptiness

Worse than any suffering there is,

Beyond what it even means to suffer:

This emptiness that is all there is in me,

In which there is nothing I can feel.

I would go through anything,

And feel any pain in the world

Could I only have feelings again,

No matter what they would be.

Oh fate please do anything to me,

And I will take it in with all my being.
Even at the worst that could befall me,
I swear I will never look away.
