Everything can evolve only from what already is, so that we can only evolve in ourselves, and no one, not even a God, can make another evolve in their way. If anything, by trying to do so they can only keep them from evolving in their own. That’s a choice made from the whole of one’s being, of which we are each but a small part. What little part we can have in that choice is to accept theirs so that they will too. To evolve rather than trying to make others evolve or them trying to make us evolve, we have to be authentic rather than submissive or dominant.
